27 gifted and talented students were taught in Oldham County schools in the 2022-23 school year

Test 01

Oldham County schools enrolled 27 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 20.6% decrease from the previous school year.

Of the 886 students enrolled in Oldham County schools, 3% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Oldham County enrolled the 33rd lowest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
