White Deer ISD welcomed 339 students in 2021-22 school year

There were 339 students enrolled in White Deer ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 9.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.4% of them were boys, and 46.6% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 80.8% of the White Deer ISD total enrollment.

White Deer ISD roughly covers schools within Carson County with its main office in White Deer.

Among the two schools in White Deer ISD, White Deer Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 195 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
