Today, Congressman Ronny Jackson from Texas introduced a resolution supporting the pro-life principles of the Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family. This move aims to reaffirm the United States' commitment to advancing women's health while asserting that there is no international right to abortion. Senator Steve Daines introduced a companion resolution in the U.S. Senate.

Jackson stated, “Rejoining the Geneva Consensus Declaration sends a clear message to the world that the United States stands for life, family, and the health of women." He emphasized his advocacy for initiatives prioritizing family-based values and expressed gratitude towards Senator Daines for co-leading this resolution.

Senator Daines commented, “The Geneva Consensus Declaration affirms basic principles that all life is sacred and there is no international right to abortion.” He highlighted that despite opposition from the Biden administration, support for these principles continues to grow internationally.

Valerie Huber, President & CEO of the Institute for Women’s Health, praised Jackson and Daines for their leadership. She remarked on rejoining this coalition as an opportunity for the U.S. to restore its leadership in global health diplomacy.

Hon. Marilyn Musgrave from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America described the Geneva Consensus Declaration as a landmark achievement under President Trump’s first administration. She criticized President Biden's withdrawal from it and supported Jackson's resolution as a reaffirmation of protecting vulnerable citizens.

Several representatives have cosponsored Congressman Jackson’s legislation, including Virginia Foxx, Clay Higgins, Chuck Fleischmann, Mary Miller, Robert Aderholt, Randy Weber, Tracey Mann, Glenn Grothman, Michael Guest, Rich McCormick, John Moolenaar, Daniel Webster, Richard Hudson, Gary Palmer, Andy Biggs, and Gregory Murphy.
