Today, Congressman Ronny Jackson from Texas's 13th district has been appointed Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations. Jackson expressed his gratitude for the appointment by Chairman Mike Rogers.
"I want to thank Chairman Mike Rogers for the honor and opportunity to chair this critical subcommittee," said Jackson. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring that the defense intelligence community and special operations forces remain highly effective. "Working to guarantee our defense intelligence community and special operations forces are the world’s most lethal and effective fighting force has always been a top priority of mine, and I am excited to work with the Trump administration to put the safety of Americans first," he stated.
Jackson outlined his focus as chairman, stating, "As Chairman of the Intelligence and Special Operations Subcommittee, I will focus on bolstering our military's capabilities, ensuring we are prepared for any future conflict, and providing the resources our men and women in uniform need to be successful." He also conveyed his humility at receiving this appointment.
Chairman Mike Rogers also shared his thoughts on Jackson's new role: "I’m pleased that Rep. Ronny Jackson will be the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations for the 119th Congress." Rogers highlighted Jackson's role in deterrence efforts, support for Special Operations Forces, and oversight responsibilities. "I thank Rep.
