There were 33 white students enrolled in Grandview-Hopkins ISD schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 33 white students enrolled in Grandview-Hopkins ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 15.4% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Grandview-Hopkins ISD schools welcomed 44 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 75% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Grandview-Hopkins ISD roughly covers schools within Gray County and has a main office in Groom.

Grandview-Hopkins Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 33 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
