There were 826 students enrolled in Highland Park ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.4% of them were girls, and 49.6% were boys.

The most represented ethnicity among Highland Park ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 46.9% of the student population.

Highland Park ISD roughly covers schools within Potter County with its main office in Amarillo.

Among the three schools in Highland Park ISD, Highland Park Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 389 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
