Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) recently announced that over $200 million has been signed into law for Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District. In response to the Fiscal Year 2024 government funding package, Jackson expressed his satisfaction with the allocation of funds for various projects within the district.

"I take extreme pride in securing more than $200 million for Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District, benefiting our families, farmers, producers, local businesses, rural communities, and national security," said Jackson.

Key highlights of the funding include $101.3 million for the HE Science & Engineering Facility at Pantex, $83 million for the HE Synthesis, Formulation, and Production facility at Pantex, and $2.1 million for West Texas A&M's Feedlot Educational Training Facility. Other projects receiving funding include the Enhancement of STEM Capacity at Midwestern State University, the Texas Tech Veterinary School STEM Research Capacity, and the Randall County Sheriff's Office receiving $242,000 for a Rapid DNA System.

Jackson emphasized the importance of modernizing the Pantex Plant, stating, "Modernization of the Pantex Plant has been one of my top priorities in Congress and as a Member of the House Armed Services Committee." He highlighted the significance of securing over $184 million for major construction at the site, which will contribute to updating the national security facility.

The funding package also prioritizes fiscal responsibility by cutting unnecessary government spending and redirecting resources to areas with significant impact, such as Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and Runaway Bay. Jackson noted that the funding will enhance communities, bolster infrastructure, enrich local education, fortify military operations, sustain the agriculture sector, and allocate funds for veteran healthcare.

The projects secured by Jackson across TX-13 cover a wide range of areas, including education, law enforcement, water resource improvements, and infrastructure development. The funding is expected to have a positive and lasting impact on the communities within Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District.
