Congressman Ronny Jackson, representing Texas's 13th District, has reintroduced a bill aimed at ending federal funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). The proposed legislation, named the No Partisan Radio and Partisan Broadcasting Services Act, seeks to completely remove financial backing from these public media organizations.
"For decades, radical Democrats have funneled taxpayer dollars to NPR and PBS under the guise of 'serving the public,' despite both organizations abandoning their founding missions to provide non-biased content and instead promoting the same radical-left propaganda as any other fake news outlet," Rep. Ronny Jackson expressed. "If these organizations want to push partisan agendas, they do not deserve another dime of federal support."
DOGE Subcommittee Chairwoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has shown support for the bill, stating, "I’m proud to cosponsor Ronny Jackson’s bill to defund PBS and NPR. As my DOGE subcommittee hearing showed, these taxpayer-funded PR arms of the Democrat Party don’t deserve the American people’s hard-earned money. NPR and PBS hate President Trump, his supporters, and the majority of Americans who sent us a mandate in 2024. They can hate us on their own dime."
Additional information can be found through Fox News Digital, and the full text of the bill is available for review.
The list of cosponsors includes Chairwoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and several Representatives: Jodey Arrington from Texas's 19th District, Andy Biggs of Arizona's 5th District, Tim Burchett from Tennessee's 2nd District, Michael Cloud of Texas's 27th District, Mike Collins from Georgia's 10th District, Neal Dunn of Florida's 2nd District, Paul Gosar from Arizona's 9th District, Troy Nehls of Texas's 22nd District, Chip Roy from Texas's 21st District, Keith Self of Texas's 3rd District, and Randy Weber from Texas's 14th District.
