WASHINGTON — On May 24, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) introduced a bill demanding that the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) immediately rescind all unnecessary policies and procedures related exclusively to COVID-19. While the public health emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic ended on May 11, 2023, VA facilities around the country are still maintaining guidance related to the pandemic, including mask requirements and social distancing.

Jackson said: “The Biden Administration continues to weaponize government agencies to force their radical Leftist agenda on the American people. Enforcing social distancing or mask requirements at the VA doesn’t prioritize public health; it prioritizes preserving power. The pandemic is over – there’s no reason for these policies and procedures to be in place! Our veterans deserve better than that.”
