Amarillo Fire Dept. issued the following on Sep. 21
WILDFIRE UPDATE The crews have been busy laying hose lines across several miles up and down the mountains. They work in 24 hour shifts and end each day exhausted but happy. The Sierra Creek Fire is currently 25% contained and has burned over 278,000 acres.
