Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Amarillo College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Amarillo College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas residents paid $3,168 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 48.5 percent more than residents this year, or $4,704. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $4,704 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Texas residents.

Data shows 75 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 521 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.3 million and 98 students took out student loans totaling more than $525,641.

Including all undergraduates (9,854), 4,678 students used grants or scholarships totaling $16.5 million, and 1,658 students took out $10.8 million in federal student loans.
