BAPTIST ST ANTHONY'S HOSPITAL: Many patients with symptoms that typically prompt emergency care are now delaying care.

Hospital ward(1000)

Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital issued the following announcement on May 8

Many patients with symptoms that typically prompt emergency care are now delaying care. Hoping to recover on their own or waiting to visit the hospital once the pandemic ends, these decisions can have a devastating impact to long term health. According to a study conducted by Revive Health, 36% of consumers reported they are likely to continue delaying care once restrictions are lifted. This is problematic because delaying care can create additional complications and more severe health problems.

Our hospitals and clinics have followed protocols to provide safe, quality care before, during and after COVID-19. The safety of patients and employees remains our top priority and we are committed to making patients feel comfortable and safe receiving care in our facilities.
