Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital issued the following announcement on April 8
The CDC recommends the following to help reduce stress, the stress, which can improve your our mental state:
• Limit the amount of news you consume. It’s good to stay informed, but too much media saturation during stressful events can take a toll on mental health.
• Focus on taking care of your body through healthy eating, regular movement/exercise, getting plenty of sleep and avoiding drugs and alcohol.
• Make time for fun activities. Quarantine challenges our usual activities, but find ways to do things you enjoy.
• Stay in touch with others – either by phone, video, social media or other electronic means – and communicate how you’re feeling.
Though COVID-19 has changed the way we live our lives, at least in the short term, it is important to keep our minds focused on the positive to support both your mental and physical health. #StressAwarenessMonth
