Senator Kevin Sparks, who represents Texas’s 31st Senate district, has recently posted a series of Bible verses on his social media account. The tweets, published over three consecutive days in December 2025, feature quotations from the Book of Psalms and Isaiah.
On December 15, Sparks shared a verse from Psalms: “Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. — Psalm 146:5”.
The following day, he posted another scripture: “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. — Isaiah 40:29”.
On December 17, Sparks cited another passage from Psalms: “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. — Psalm 138:8”.
Sparks was elected as a Republican to the Texas State Senate in 2023, representing District 31 after succeeding Kel Seliger. His use of biblical references on social media reflects a practice among some public officials to share personal or faith-based messages with constituents.
