Ronny Jackson, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 13th district, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account in early January 2026, reflecting on faith, expressing condolences for a colleague, and highlighting federal support for rural healthcare in Texas.
On January 4, Jackson shared a Bible verse: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” —2 Corinthians 5:17.
Two days later, on January 6, Jackson addressed the passing of fellow lawmaker Doug LaMalfa. He wrote: “I am saddened by the sudden loss of my friend, Doug LaMalfa.
Doug was a strong conservative lawmaker who fought tirelessly for America’s farmers, ranchers, and rural communities. Please join Jane and me in praying for his family and friends.”
On January 7, Jackson commented on recent federal funding for rural healthcare in Texas. He stated: “Thanks to the HISTORIC funding for rural healthcare in the One Big Beautiful Bill, Texas will receive $1.4 billion through the Rural Health Transformation Program.
Thank you @POTUS and @DrOzCMS for supporting rural healthcare in the GREAT state of Texas!”
Jackson has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Mac Thornberry in 2021. In previous elections, he won significant majorities against Democratic challengers Kathleen Brow in 2022 and Gus Trujillo in 2020.
