Ronny Jackson, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 13th district, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and recognitions through a series of posts on his social media account.
On July 25, 2025, Jackson announced an honor received from the American Horse Council: “I am honored to be recognized by the @AmericanHorseCo as a 2025 Mid-Year Congressional Scorecard Champion. In TX-13, we understand just how important the equine industry is to American agriculture and our way of life. I’ll continue to fight against bureaucratic overreach and https://t.co/VgpRrE3tuK”. The recognition reflects his ongoing advocacy for agricultural interests in his district.
On July 27, 2025, Jackson posted a biblical quotation focused on self-reflection and hypocrisy: “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out”.
Most recently, on July 28, 2025, Jackson highlighted legislative efforts honoring local leadership: “Last week, I reintroduced legislation to rename the Amarillo Post Office in memory of Mayor Jerry H. Hodge. Jerry wasn’t just the youngest mayor in our city’s history, he was a selfless public servant who worked tirelessly to make life better for the people of the Texas”.
Jackson has served as representative for Texas’ 13th district since replacing Mac Thornberry in 2021. He secured election victories against Kathleen Brow in 2022 with over three-fourths of the vote and Gus Trujillo in 2020 with nearly four-fifths support.
