Congressman Ronny Jackson of Texas’ 13th district marked the signing of the Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (FY26 NDAA) into law by President Donald J. Trump. The legislation includes several provisions led by Jackson aimed at enhancing national defense, including efforts to improve the acquisition process for Special Operations Forces, expedite delivery of the MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft, accelerate infrastructure projects at Pantex related to assembly and disassembly operations, and advance artificial intelligence applications in national security.

Jackson stated, “President Trump signing the FY26 NDAA into law sends a clear message that America is serious about peace through strength and supporting our servicemembers. This key legislation strengthens our defense capabilities, puts America First, and provides our men and women in uniform with the resources they need to protect our country at home and abroad.”

Jackson has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas’ 13th district since replacing Mac Thornberry in 2021. In previous elections, he secured victories over Gus Trujillo in 2020 and Kathleen Brow in 2022.
